| well I'm sorry I left for a while BUT! I went on a retreat last week. and a whole bunch of the kids, from Oklahoma and Arkansas, had xanga so I figured I'd come back to keep in touch. We were in the city for a week. It was awesome. No really. it was. well that's all for now....we'll see how well I do with this. ok byeeeeeee | | |
| oh my goodness...have you missed me?
wow so a lots happened in the past....what is it....20 days?
hm...so there was all district-that was most enjoyable, going to rehersals and such...i missed a half a day of school for one ...and i believe it was the first rehersal was on a thursday so me and christine went and then went to pit which meant we played for like 6 hours! it was awesome...only because we are such band nerds.
then i guess two weeks ago i went on a chrysalis retreat fri-mon. that was so much fun. i really had an awesome time. i got to see deana and vonz again which is always a plus and i met some truly beautiful-wonderful-::makes hand motion:: amazing-NORMAL people (and stuffed elephants)...i'm definitely looking foward to helping at the boys retreat in a few weeks
then last thursday (Jan. 20) i finally had my appointment with the opthalmic plastic surgeon! woo what a wonderful person dr. young is (it's gotta be fate that she's the dr. we went to...i mean her daughter plays oboe too...it was destiny) so we get there and she looks at my eyes for like 10-15 minutes making a few comments, checking a few things and then tells us my tear ducts are blocked. hm...wasn't that what me and my parents have ben saying for a year but every other dr. was to stupid to look? no, that couldn't have been us. so she tells us that from the amount of tearing i was doing it looks like my tear ducts are 90% blocked and there's a simple procedure that will work to un-block them, it only desn't work for tear ducts that are completely blocked. they just put these tiny little tubes into your tear duct and wash it out with saline soltuion and it goes down the back of your throat and you're done. she said it's pretty much painless just a little pressure on my eyes. so she goes ok i'm gunna have some lady come in who can schedule for when we can do it (it's and in office procedure) and answer any questions you have. the lady comes in and my only question is when can we do it? Jan 25-yea tuesday...like 5 days ago...exciting i know!...well guess what? it didn't work, at all, not even on one eye. i went in on tuesday and the procedure took like a half hour maybe and the only thing that really hurt was the stuff she used to numb my eyes which actully gave me a bruise under my right eye...no big deal. so when she would run saline solution into my lower tear duct it would go back around my upper duct and wash back over my eye...not whats supposed to happen...so what she thinks it is, is that its blocked too far down...or something...who knows. so the next step is to go see an ear/nose/throat dr. to make sure that the flowin my nasal area isn't bad because of my allergies or anything and then i have to get surgeory...but oiyy...i'll let you knwo about that when the time comes
then this week were midterms ...i think i did good on math and chem, ok on french cause i know i did really well on the essay, and who knows on s.s.
wed. i went to a whole bunch of thrift stores with sarah, taught piano lessons, had a piano lesson then went the midterm party at steff's youth group..it was fun-thursday i went to the mall with mer and got a dress for sweet 16's then we went to lord and taylors and tried on big poofy expensive dresses, then thursday night steff came over and we watched the apprentice-friday i did nothing at all during the day and then igot all dressed up for phil's 'sweet 16'...oh what an evil boy...i get there and there are maybe 10 people already there none of whom are dressed up...oiy...luckily c.j., nattie, and korey dressed up and they came a little later...oh well i like dressing up. but i had such a good time last night...there were somany band people there and it was jsut woderful talking to them all and telling stories, mostly about band, cause we're losers like that. but yes definitely best time i've had in a while
so yea that's it for now...good luck to all you band nerds who have nasau/suffolk conert tonight!!
| I don't think many of you realize how much truth is in my screenname. I am such a mess, all the time, 7 days a week 24 hours a day. It's terrible it really is. The past week I have been such a scatter-brain. I did like none of my homework all week, I don't know why, I just didn't. I almost forgot about club. I forgot to go to my piano lesson. Who does that?! It wasn’t even like I lost track of time or anything, I just forgot. Then friday was just…blegh. Just a very bad day in general. And then in chem. My lunch fell off my desk (like a 3 foot fall) and my gadorade breaks open. I hadn’t even opened it yet. The cap just came off and there was gadorade everywhere and I had to clean it up. It was terrible. Then when I got home I had my re-scheduled piano lesson which went very well considering I’ve been practicing the same stuff for over a month and then I tutored which wasn’t so good. I couldn’t even remember how to do the math problems but somehow I had to tell Kourtney how. Oiy…that was fun. And then it took a half and hour to get home. From freaking north Babylon! It usually takes less than 5 minutes. gr people & construction. so then of course I had to come home and shower and then i had to inhale some Chinese food. After that I went upstairs, put a whole bunch of crap in my hair cuz I thought I was gunna wear it down then decided it looked bad so I changed it but that looked bad too because of all the crap in my hair, so I got frustrated and left it. Then I changed my outfit like a billion times and it me, my sister, and my cousin to figre out what I could wear. Then I finally got to Mer’s sweet 16 a half hour late and cranky. Mer looked so pretty!! And then Margaret and I danced together and after a while I was having so much fun! It was possibly the best thing to make my week and 100 million % better. It was such a great night! Some highlights:
-getting a candle along with val jackie kelly and some other peoples
-straw sword fighting with marc
-cotton-eyed-joe
-finding way too much amusement with the napkins
-looking like an idiot with Margaret
-seeing Meredith look like a princess
-Margaret and I telling each other we’re having Jon’s baby’s…at the same time
-and of course the car ride home: Nattie’s Mom-“Hey kathy was there! Why didn’t we give kathy a ride home?! Well, it doesn’t matter, kathy’s probably safer with her mom cuz her mom’s sooooooooober.”
-me and jon laughing hysterically in the back
thank you meredith and happy brithday! i love you!
| I am a christian. It is the most important thing in my life.
"Fake" christians really bother me. Or any person of any any faith who doesn't proudly state what they believe. You should not be ashamed of what you believe because of what other people may or may not think. I know I will never persecute someone because of their beliefs because one, I hate it when people say anything to me condemning about being a christian even though it does "come with the job". And two, I think it displays ignorance in a person.
I don't drink or do any type of drug. I also try not to curse but I can't say that I never do that. I don't do these things to make a point, I do them because I believe it is what is right. I don't look down on anyone who does these things because it is their personality and for that reason I won't try to change a person who does or shove my beliefs down their throats. I will say however that I do respect people who dont curse, drink, etc. a little more because I know, personally, that it is hard (that still does not mean I respect you less if you do).
I don't know what you believe, or if you believe anyhting, but I highly suggest it. From my own personal experience, my beliefs have helped me make so many decisions and have made me a stronger person because of it.
The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language Dictionary's definition of belief: the mental act of placing trust or confidence in a person or thing; faith
| so did ya miss me?
yes, so what have I been up to...well the band concert was last wednesday, that went OK. not our best but not terrible, I had fun. I went to the diner after with a whole bunch of band people, it was great. Bennett did a magic toothpick trick (woah say that three times fast-magictoothpicktrick, magictoothpooth...oiy) but he'll only tell Rachel how to do it, but don't worry I'll figure it out. Then friday Annie came home! hooray! we got our christmas tree and then went to see Finding Neverland...it was so good. I recommend everyone to see it. it was just perfect + it had Johnny Depp...mmm--I mean what?! ::ahem:: yea...then on saturday I had a 'date' with Val. we went to long river for lunch and then went back to her house to watch movies and eat the leftovers...yumm...marissa came later and the three of us talked for an hour or two, it was quite nice sunday I did nothing bu go to Val's church...I liked it a lot...I didn't expect to but I really did. Tuesday was the Club christmas party....we had a pretty good turn out....thanks to all those who came! then today was my pit audition then shopping with annie. we went and visited lippy and that was just grand, hearing about him get hit on by train conductors and whatnot. I just got home from the chorus concert and the messiah kinda sucked...but what are you gunna do...i enjoyed myself watching phil take the coolest pictures ever. also kerri lorenz did an amazing job with her solo in vm...she was so good...and everyone agrees becasue she's wonderful...so yea band field trip tomorrow then after school lisa's party then val's party then sleepover yay!! so until next time kids
